F-gas inspection

Annual refrigerant check — required by law

If your unit holds over 5 t CO₂e (typical for multisplit and VRF with 3+ kg charge), you must have it inspected every 12 months. Failing to do so risks fines up to 1,500,000 CZK.

What businesses ask most

When is F-gas inspection mandatory?
If your unit holds refrigerant equivalent to over 5 t CO₂e (about 3 kg of standard R32, less for R410A), the law requires leak inspection at least every 12 months. Hermetically sealed systems above 10 t CO₂e have the same obligation. Multisplit and VRF systems in commercial spaces almost always exceed this threshold.
How much does annual service cost?
For a typical office unit (split or multisplit), pricing runs 1,800 — 3,000 CZK/year depending on type, installation height, and number of units at one location. Volume discounts apply for buildings with multiple units. The price covers two visits per year (spring + autumn), cleaning, refrigerant check, filter replacement.
Do you only serve Prague 1?
Geo-focus is Prague 1, 2, 3 and 7 (central Prague). Bundled service routes mean faster response and lower travel surcharges. If you have a branch elsewhere in Prague, we discuss that individually. Outside of Prague we only take on existing contract clients.
What if a unit fails the day before a heatwave?
For clients with a service contract with priority support, on-site response within 24 hours is included. Without a contract we respond based on capacity — in a July heatwave typically 3 — 7 days. We recommend signing a contract in spring, not at the moment a unit stops working.
Do you also install new units?
Yes. Most commonly multisplit for offices (1 outdoor + 2 — 5 indoor) and VRF for hotels and larger admin buildings. We also handle heat recovery units and combined heat-pump + cooling installations. Design, sizing, installation, commissioning, handover protocols.
Do you do server room and data center cooling?
Yes, up to 20 kW cooling capacity. Our IT division Let IT Bee manages client server rooms in Prague, so we understand uptime, N+1 redundancy and SNMP/Zabbix monitoring requirements. For larger DC builds we recommend specialized providers (COMPLETE CZ, F-klima).
What's the difference between contract service and one-off service?
Contract service = fixed annual price, automatic inspection scheduling, priority emergency support, F-gas deadline tracking. One-off service = we fix what you have, bill time + parts, you remember the next deadline yourself. For businesses that don't want admin overhead, the contract option is recommended.
